More abundance: beauty and love

this is Viscosa, my little Mexican beauty.

What a beauty - it's hard to photo a dark colored cat - this one is radiant!

awh, i've always loved black cats.

re: the comment on my blog about my brother and his Dick Chaney moment with the shotgun... I had a rather horrible two weekends ago when I was called to the hospital in the middle of the night with "your brother shot mark!" Luckily it was in the foot, but he had to have his big toe amputated. The worst was that his bestfriend doesn't have health insurance.
I've a whole gorey post on it here...

I'm not even sure I'd trust myself (despite my delicate and ladylike ways) with a gun. I've been held at gunpoint before, and now this.

Still I find it totally funny that Dick Chaney shot his best pal with a shotgun this week too.

K: yes, I know. I've been trying to get a good photo of her for the past 5 years and these are the first good ones! And I agree--black cats are "the devil" to photograph!

J: oy! I think I missed that post about your brother. As for Dick Chaney, I'm not sure I'd trust him with much of anything! Well, in the process of looking at that post I happened upon many others including a photo of your GREEN walls--and I think you're right--we have the same color! yep, that's pretty cool (the paint, not the foot).

what a beauty. so thoughtful and pensive. i feel lost without a black cat. my current little black behbeh is both the most shy and sensitive cat i know and one who snuggles with the deepest abandon, stretching out on his back with all four legs and chin extended far and wide, groaning loudly with pleasure. funny little dude.
